One of the major criticisms the Zi8 receives when compared to other digital video cameras is the tight shot the lens gives. The Vado HD, for example, has one of the widest. The Zi8 has one of the narrowest.



This is easily remedied by spending a few dollars/pounds/euro on a popular ‘macro’ lens from places such as eBay. Better yet these are magnetic and mean you don’t have to fool around and void your warranty .
